On the Recap: Saturday Express

Fast becoming the REAL deal
VDV is the star man on Saturday as he simply outshone fantasy favourite Bale with two personal goals. The draw I predicted almost materialiased but Spurs hold on. VDV bandwagon anyone? Upcoming fixtures toughen for Spurs but with his form I think nobody will argue.

As expected Wigan breezed past unlucky Wolves after Karl Henry sent off. Maximum points for Jordi Gomez; any manager have him??? I doubt it. Nzog also stars. His previous quote 'Wigan is a springboard'.

Everton got their first win on the road as Brums home record crushed. Foster and the gang were hapless inhandling Everton's attacks spearheaded by the super Tim Cahill. Birmingham next destination; The Emirates.

Clint Dempsey took the attacking responsibility well with a well taken goal at West Ham. But the new strike partners Obinna & Piquionne proved useful again and deserved a draw for the Hammers. West Ham kept improving and Fulham as expected; hard to break down. Correct 1-1 draw.

Stoke won with good play by not the usual suspect; Jon Walters (who?) assisted by the very reliable Mathew Etherington. The home side defended well and Shawcross deserved the bonus points. Blackburn proved a strong opposition and in any other day could get something here.

Owen Coyle new tactics make them a tough unit home and away. They deserved the lead by the reborn again Johan Elmander and as expected from the on form man; Peter Odemwingie. An assist but no bonus points. The Hawthorns remain a fortress for The Baggies and Bolton continue to nick something from any of the premiership side.

After 20 minutes delay, we are waiting for this to be some blockbuster. Unfortunately, same old MU side; still searching for an away win. Where is Berbatov in the starting lineup? Just read the news for some ridiculous reasons by Sir Alex. But congratulations to the Black Cats, they control the tempo and Rio Ferdinand kept them at bay. Al-Muhammadi proved very skillful on the right and got the maximum bonus points. Nani was very quiet but the next home game (to WBA) could well provide some points. Bent was a constant threat and with good finishing could simply scores a hat trick. Honestly, I tell you.

Not having any Liverpool cover will kept haunting me for tomorrow fixtures and I'm quite nervous for those captained El Drog. Come on Arsenal, just put out a low scoring draw with them. Also, don't forget this man; Captain Tevez.
