On the Copa: A totally true favourite

Forgotten devil and the new reds win it for them

A true 'giant killers' final
Uruguay win the Copa America by beating toothless Paraguay to surpass Argentina as the team with the most Copa wins (Sarcastically sounds like last season United surpassing of Liverpool record!); Beating them in their own backyard was a lot more sweeter to say at least; Viva La-Celeste!

2011 Copa America Final
Uruguay (World cup form continues, a true favourite in the final) vs Paraguay (Into the final without winning a single game, wanna bet on the underdog?)

Copa America Semi-Final (interesting giant killing facts)
Uruguay (Slow-starter and unbeaten in the tournament behind group leader, Chile, beat the star-studded cup host Argentina) vs Peru (One of the best third places, losing once and beat unbeaten Group A leader, Colombia in quarters)

Venezuela (Previously hammered by Brazil 7-0, they are 2nd behind Samba boys (same points), not losing even once, beat the tournament favorites, Chile) vs Paraguay (Best third place by drawing all group games, facing Brazil twice, the draw specialist prevailed in penalties against the poor defending champion)

2011 Women World Cup
Tsunami-stricken Japan took the cup by storm and against the odds beat three of the world top five sides (Germany, Sweden & USA) en route to the final...Congrats to Asia!
