On the Recap: Typical Tuesday

Enjoying the premiership
Surprise...surprise...Initially thought unfit Van Der Vaart continued his scoring streak at home in a typical manner. Typical cross by Bale, typical Crouch header and typical VDV strike. Bale is becoming more like Joey Barton in terms of fantasy; he assisted the assist. Very frustrated for managers who still hold him; typical 2 points and no bonus. Who got the maximum then? A yellow card and a tackle that could break Modric into two pieces; Mr Lee 'Tough-tackling' Cattermole. Didn't see it coming though. Asamoah Gyan scored the equalising goal to make it three goals in two matches. A good prospect with Bent sidelined as they visit Stamford Bridge (Not!) after this. Spurs extend their winless run to four matches and welcome aggressive Blackburn at home next. Not good for VDV, Bale, Modric etc and the list goes on.

A real thriller happened at the Britannia Stadium where Birmingham fought back after Stoke squandered a two nil advantage (a case of dejavu against West Ham previously) but it was not to be their day as our Tuesday fantasy hero, Dean Whitehead scored the winning goal to kickstart their winning form. Other scorers; unfamiliar name for us managers; STK (Robert Huth & Ricardo Fuller) and BIR (Keith Fahey & Cameron Jerome). Their upcoming fixtures are not favorable as Stoke are the host to the champion conqueror Liverpool and Birmingham visit The City of Manchester Stadium. High-flying action set to resume tonight...
