On the Recap: Sunday Toons

He got to keep the match ball this week
Newcastle showed their credentials as a premiership outfit as they outclassed local rivals Sunderland five to one. Andy Carroll former custodian Kevin Nolan scored a hat trick and former fantasy points magnet Shola Ameobi also starred by scoring another two. Fantasy favourite Elmohamady was made the scapegoat on  the 40th minute after The Black Cats trailed the home side 3-0 inside the first half. Furthermore, Titus Bramble was sent off to make the matter worst and Darrent Bent got the last minute consolation goal to dash up hope for a Newcastle cleanie points. Steve Bruce painfully admitted afterwards,"We were well beaten after playing like that". A truly fascinating affair, try ask Mr Wenger next.

Liverpool got their first away win of the season after a sublime skill by Fernando Torres allowing Maxi Rodriguez to strike the winning goal five minutes from time. Plenty of goal scoring opportunities provided by both sides and Bolton just seem wasteful in front of the goal. Morale boosting victory for Liverpool before welcoming Ancelotti's men in their titanic match up this weekend

We save the worst for the last. Nothing stand out in this Mid-lands derby between Villa and Birmingham except for the controversial penalty appeal for The Brums. Other than that; clean sheet points for both. Their upcoming fixtures; Birmingham entertain a visit by The Hammers and Villans are away at Fulham.

There are some encouraging news regarding Peter Odemwingie and I need him to score a hat trick at Blackpool tonight to have a chance in winning my H2H match. Not so encouraging ha...Fingers crossed.
